Reporting to the Town Manager, the Town of White City is looking for a key finance professional to join their exciting and progressive team. You will be a team player and a critical business partner to the management team. You will provide updated financial projections, while allocating resources to various planned projects.
This role is responsible for:
-managing, engaging and leading a finance team
-providing operational and strategic advice
-executing monthly and annual financial statements
-completing budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
-completing financial reports and projections to Council
-maintaining cash forecasts and capital asset ledgers
-attending various council meetings
-preparing and maintaining financial policies
-other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
-a recognized professional accounting designation
-6-7 years of financial reporting experience
-3-5 years of supervisory experience
-previous experience reporting to a Council or Board of Directors
-municipal financial reporting will be a huge asset
