Description:
Reports to Manager, West Operations,position responsible for:coordinating bulk logistics for assigned customers,understanding of customer requirements, planning & dispatching team of drivers, & coordinating yard for timely loading/unloading of product. Position will be measured by his/her ability to maximize utilization of assets, customer/driver satisfaction. Communicates to customers by email, telephone & regular reports. You will also be familiar with equipment specifications, and regulatory requirements in overseeing their assigned customer & driver base.
The work environment is fast paced and need to be comfortable with managing multiple priorities, a changing environment and handle a high work volume.
Requirements:
Planning & dispatching success achieved through a combination of experience and post- secondary education in the areas of business & logistics
Solid communication/people skills to work in a team environment.
Experience coordinating schedules & spreadsheets
Safety First approach with knowledge of health & safety and transportation regulations
Basic negotiation and problem solving abilities
Excellent time management/organizational skills
Strong knowledge of AS400 and/or computerized dispatching; working knowledge of MOS products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Able to provide after hour/weekend support on a rotating bais
Vehicle required as have no bus to our location 2 miles outside Saskatoon
