Description

Position Summary:    
Under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for effective general duty nursing for the acute care and emergency services at ANHH.  This position will work closely with all departments of the ANHH and the Health Services of the File Hills QuAppelle Tribal Council to ensure/maintain a high quality of patient care.    

Qualifications:
Graduate of approved school of Nursing
Current registration with Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Rural hospital nursing skills is an asset

Selection:
This position is open to all RNs however; first preference will be given to employees of SUN Local 312.

 

Skills and Abilities

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work
 - Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
 - Basic cardiac life support (BCLS)
 - CPR certification
Specific Skills
 - Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
 - Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
 - Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care
 - Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
 - Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
 - Provide nursing care
 - Conduct disease screening
