Established manufacturer of agricultural and light industrial material handling equipment (www.leonsmfg.comandwww.ramrodequip.com) requires an Engineering Manager to lead its Engineering team.

As an Engineering Manager you have to lead a team of engineers in the definition, design, and development of new and improved products. Ensure effective execution of all product engineering activities to optimize production cost, quality and on time delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals;
Define production cost and/or production cycle time for new and improved products;
Review and monitor engineering quality and schedule to ensure effective production processes and high product quality;
Liaise confidently with internal and external Customers on product support, designs and new business initiatives;
Make decisions, solve problems, analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution when solving problems;
Mentor and provide guidance and positive leadership to all employees within the Engineering Department.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree with 5 or more years of experience in leading a team of engineers in a mechanical manufacturing environment, proficient in AutoCAD with strong computer, analytical, written and verbal communication skills, a Professional Engineering designation is also an asset.
