Description

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science presently offers five programs in Electronic, Environmental, Industrial, Petroleum and Software Systems Engineering that are accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board. We also offer M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. programs and other interdisciplinary graduate programs. The faculty offers unique Co- operative Education and Internship programs and has approximately 1400 undergraduate students and almost 270 graduate students (of which about 70 graduate students are in Ph.D. programs).

Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank.  To be the successful candidate in this competition you must possess a completed PhD in petroleum or mechanical engineering or a related area with expertise in the areas of pipeline materials, design and integrity and have the required credentials for registration as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan.  You will be able to teach various petroleum and general engineering classes with special emphasis on middle- and down-stream areas of the petroleum industry focusing on pipeline materials, pipeline engineering and pipeline integrity.
You will be expected to develop an independent research program supported by external funding from a variety of sources such as NSERC and industry.  You will have the ability to supervise graduate students at both at the Masters and PhD level.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player that will contribute to our team environment by assuming their share of the administrative duties and acting in a respectful and collegial manner.
