The Saskatchewan Registered Nurses' Association (SRNA), is seeking to fill a permanent full-time position - Nursing Advisor, Complaints & Investigation
The Nursing Advisor, Complaints and Investigation will facilitate the investigative process ensuring consistent application of policies, procedures, and practices. The Advisor also supports the Investigation Committee to achieve the SRNAs regulatory and strategic objectives. The Advisor will integrate SRNA policy in conducting investigations of member professional incompetence and/or misconduct. This includes interpreting legislative requirements related to investigations to members and the public. The Advisor provides consultation on the competence assurance process to members, employers, external stakeholders and the public. The Advisor is responsible for engaging in other SRNA related work including qualitative and quantitative quality improvement and/or research as needed.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Current licensure with the SRNA or eligibility to obtain a licence with the SRNA.
A Masters degree in Nursing or related field, as well as thorough and specialized knowledge in a program or service area to facilitate service or policy design, development and evaluation.
Significant experience (approximately 7 years) working in one or more of the domains of nursing as a registered nurse (RN) or RN Nurse Practitioner.
Significant experience with preparing and maintaining detailed records.
Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including RNs and the public.
Experience in working effectively within a team.
