Loraas Environmental Services is seeking two full-time permanent employees to oversee its scale operations at the Kindersley Landfill. They will be the front face of the Landfill and will be responsible for communicating relevant information to Loraas customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with scale operation, general paperwork, and cash handling
Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers
Work with individuals on site and in other branches to ensure work is completed
Directing traffic in and around the delivery areas
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and report any issues or items of concern found.
Training may be conducted off-site with travel costs provided by Loraas
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience operating equipment
Experience in the customer service profession an asset
Certificate(s) in Heavy Equipment Operation an asset
Good communication skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work carefully and efficiently independently
Excellent attention to detail
Adequate computer skills and ability to multitask
Valid class 5 license with clean drivers abstract as well as own reliable transportation to and from Landfill
As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date. A criminal record check will also be required.
