Heavy Equipment Operation
1. Operating heavy equipment such as a bulldozer, crawler, dump or tandem truck, backhoe, grader, cat, wheel loader or track loader in a careful and efficient manner.
2. Excavating work for water and waste water main maintenance, repair and construction.
3. Cleaning of culverts and drains as required.
4. Perform regular service and maintenance of vehicles and equipment and complete service logs.
Public Works Infrastructure
1. Garbage collection and general cleanups.
2. Grass cutting on various public properties using push and riding mowers.
3. Replacement, repair or other maintenance of municipal property such as signs, hydrants, buildings, cemetery and other infrastructure as required.
4. Assist in the servicing and maintenance of vehicles and equipment and complete service logs.
5. Performs any other duty as may be assigned.

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Driver's licence

- Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control
- Operate various equipment and machinery
- Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
- Dig ditches and trenches
- Collect and load refuse on garbage trucks
- Clean and maintain sidewalks, streets, roads and public grounds
- Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment
- Assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or truck
