High School Math and Science Teacher
Pasqua First Nation is currently accepting applications for a High School Mathematics and Science teacher (Grades 9 - 12).
Chief Paskwa Education Centre is a K-12 school with approximately 170 students enrolled. The school is located on the Pasqua First Nation in Southern Saskatchewan (Near Fort QuAppelle, SK).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver math and science classes to high school students at 10, 20 and 30 levels
Demonstrate methods that support the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural development of children
Prepare engaging lessons and interactive learning activities/materials that follow SK curriculum standards
Create appropriate math and science instruction and adaptations for learners of different abilities
Facilitate learning activities both within the classroom setting and outdoors
Participate in professional development and CPEC faculty meetings and activities
Participate in co-curricular school activities and be active in community events
Maintain appropriate standards of behavior, mutual respect, and safety within classroom
Uphold STFs Code of Conduct, provide appropriate consequences and contact parents when required
The successful candidate will possess an understanding of, or desire to learn about Saulteaux values and will be required to participate in cultural activities.
