Canada's most dynamic and diverse hotel management company, Atlific Hotels, is seeking a Maintenance Manager for the Temple Gardens Hotel & Spa. This position maintains the hotels assets through ongoing preventative maintenance programs and ensuring all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with hotel standards.

Duties and Responsibilities.

Set goals, standards and solutions, meeting deadlines that are beneficial to guests, associates, and the hotel.
Train, motivate and supervise maintenance/engineering associates to ensure performance and excellent service standards are achieved.
Maintain facilities and equipment by conducting inspections on a regular basis to determine needs, the extent of service, equipment required, type of operation and maintenance personnel needed.

Maintain safe working conditions within the department and hotel by ensuring that all associates and contractors follow Health and Safety policies and procedures

Coordinate and prioritize the distribution of repair maintenance orders and planned maintenance orders
Lead and coordinate renovation projects


Experience and qualifications expected
Building trades papers or equivalent including basic electrics, plumbing, and carpentry
Know principles of painting and decorating, enough to verify that it is being done well
An experience of building a rapport with inspectors, contractors, city officials etc would be an asset
7-10 years building or maintenance experience, having dealt with either several different buildings or buildings that are complex in nature.

Will require interpersonal skills and professional appearance, reflecting the fact that the working environment will include hotel guests and fellow employees who may approach any employee asking for something.
