Description

The City of Humboldt invites the public to submit resumes for two (2) available seasonal employee positions within the Public Works and Utilities Department.

The two (2) seasonal employees will work for approximately four (4) months performing general duties throughout the City. The positions are typically 40 hrs per week. Start day for the successful applicants will be immediately upon availability.

The wage rate for the above position is $14.34 (2018) in accordance with the Local No. 2359 CUPE union agreement.

Qualifications:
    Minimum age of 16 years old in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    The successful applicant must be physically fit and possess a minimum Class 5 valid drivers licence
    Successful applicants will be required to provide a criminal record check
    Ability to work as part of a team or work independently when necessary

Duties may include:
    Painting, traffic control/flagging, repairing fences, installing signs, assisting with pothole repair, assisting with construction activities and general maintenance and cleaning.
