Description

As a senior member of the Saskatchewan Leadership Team, and under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director of Saskatchewan Services, the Area Manager acts as a 2nd Level Manager overseeing the program manager team in the operation of residential supports for adults with exceptional needs. Additionally, the Area Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support, direct supervision, coaching, performance development and management to the district Program Managers in all matters of program operations by ensuring excellence in service delivery, employee relations and management, and strategic plan implementation. The Area Manager shall work within approved strategic plans, and established policies and procedures, ensuring that Person Centered Support principles are adhered to and upheld in service delivery, maintaining organizational integrity and accountability for the people served. . They  liaise  with  agencies  in  their  area  and participate  in  community  planning  and  Ministry of Social Services initiatives  as  directed,  and also  coordinate  and  participate  on  inquiry  teams  as  required.

Requirements: Candidates should hold a Bachelors degree in General Arts, Social Work, or Business Administration, accompanied by 5 years experience within the Developmental Services sector, including experience in community development and project management. Effective interpersonal relations and excellent verbal and written communication skills are imperative to success in this position, as is a high level of self-direction and motivation in order to analyze and complete work. Candidates must be exceptionally organized and possess excellent time management skills. This role will involve travel and will be based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
