Sport and Recreation Project Worker

Rainbow Youth Centre is a multi-cultural, non-profit, community based organization providing support services for young people age 11-25 years in the City of Regina.

This summer position is responsible for organizing sport, recreation and wellness activities for youth ages 11-19 years of age.

Duties:    
- Organize recreational activities for youth.
- Organize the summer canoe outings and assist youth in acquiring canoe safety skills.
- Provide education on physical fitness and health.
- Participate in general programming of the Centre.

Applicants ideally would have:
- A valid drivers license and be non  probationary;
- A high interest in working with youth;
- Demonstrate an interest in physical activity;
- Ability to be a positive role model.

Applicants must be:
- Between the ages of 16 & 30 and have been registered as a student in the previous academic year & be returning to a school program in Fall 2018.

Hours of Work: Includes primarily evening hours of 1:30 pm  9:30 pm Monday through Friday and occasional Saturday afternoons 12 noon  5:30 pm. (30 hours per week)
