Syntrex Technologies Inc. is Saskatchewans leading security and technology integration specialist, serving a variety of clients and industries throughout Canada. We are currently seeking full and part-time technicians to join our exciting and growing team for small to large scale installation and maintenance projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain systems by installing, repairing, programming, and upgrading infrastructure
Install new cabling and systems in new or existing buildings
Responsible for the termination and testing of new cabling and commissioning of new systems
Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting system issues
Understand and adhere to environmental, health & safety practices
Assist co-workers with installation and routine maintenance of systems
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to test, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues
Ability to independently manage workload to ensure jobs are completed on time and on budget
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, confined spaces and in isolation
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including, but not limited to: carry, raise and climb ladders/lifts, carry, lift and handle heavy equipment and tools.
Self-disciplined, motivated and organized
Knowledge of CCTV/IP Video Surveillance, Access Control, Instrusion Alarm, Network Infrastructure, Wireless and Wireless P2P systems extremely beneficial
Experience Required:
Prior experience in customer service and proficiency with hand tools considered an asset
Additional Requirements:
Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, emergency call outs as required
Willingness to travel beneficial
The successful candidate must pass a criminal record check
