Description

Battlefords Interval House is seeking a motivated, results-oriented and strategic leader to take on the role of Executive Director.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of Battlefords Interval House.
Role and responsibilities include:
- reporting to the Board of Directors
- managing and oversight of finances, program services, human resources, and facility management
- acting as a liaison between staff and Board
- assisting the Board with good governance

Our candidate of choice will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
- Specialized knowledge, training or education in domestic violence preferred
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, office systems and policy development. Experience with Sage 50 or QuickBooks software an asset.
- Understanding of legislation, regulations, codes and bylaws applicable to not-for-profit organizations
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with government, community, other non-profit organizations and donors
- Public relations experience
- Experience in managing human resources, including recruiting, screening, training, scheduling, performance management and conflict resolution
- Understanding of diverse cultural values, beliefs and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated experience working with a board of directors, past experience working in a policy governance organization would be an asset
- The ability to think strategically and experience in strategic and operational planning
- The successful candidate will be subject to a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment and is required to have a valid drivers license

Terms and Conditions:
This is a permanent, full time out-of-scope position
Salary and benefits to be set commensurate with experience
