Description

The Community Educator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the projects Tell It Like It Is and Wrap It Up! SK.
Duties and Responsibilities
Liaise with project partners to implement project activities
Plan project sessions/workshops and coordinate logistics collaboratively
Facilitate /co-facilitate sessions/workshops in conjunction with community partners
Manage project materials and supplies; including inventory and condom distribution
Social Media Engagement
Qualifications and Skills
Education in public health, community health, social sciences, humanities, social work, education, or related discipline
Experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities
Experience working with community-based organizations
Demonstrated experience with public speaking and facilitating groups, workshops, and/or education sessions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with diverse communities (i.e. LGBTQ, ethnocultural minorities, newcomers, people with disabilities, and Indigenous communities)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational and time management skills (i.e. multitasking, prioritizing, managing workload, and ensuring deadlines are met)
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with coworkers, partner organizations, and clients

Working Conditions
Position may periodically require some evening and weekend work
Must able to handle disruptions, time constraints, and multi-tasking
Must possess a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
Must successfully pass a criminal record check and vulnerable sector search
