Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Project Manager for our Regina location. This position is responsible for managing quality, cost, and delivery on projects. After a project is transitioned from the estimating department project managers become the starting point for all activity on that project. In order to manage quality, cost and delivery, project managers formally requisition packages of work (with a defined scope, budget and delivery) from the internal departments or 3rd party suppliers.

Required Skills:

- Manage scope creep through effective use of change orders.
- Along with accounting, effectively manage the cash flow on projects by pushing to hit payment milestones, and promptly invoicing the customer.
- Communicate any problems with team members or project results to the department managers.
- Assist the estimating department in project deep dives to determine what worked well and what didnt.
- Have a positive attitude towards work and provide leadership to create a good working environment for others.
- Be a problem solver. Help to develop the solutions we need, not just point out the gaps that may exist.
- Develop and maintain the project management process. This includes training project managers and other key stakeholders of the process. Some key elements of the project management process are:
      - Project requirements are validated before work beings on a project. These requirements include a valid scope, budget and delivery, as well as any credit checks, down payments, etc. as mandated by company policy and the contract.
       - There is an overall schedule for the project. This schedule will show work beginning and completing in the departments, but not the detailed schedule that individual departments will keep. This schedule should match the work    breakdown structure created by the estimating department
