The Saskatoon Housing Authority is seeking a certified cook who is interested in a business opportunity. Operating out of a senior high rise building, we are offering our commercial kitchen to run a catering business. As part of this opportunity, you will be required to provide a minimum of one meal per day (Monday-Friday) to those tenants interested in purchasing a meal at a reasonable cost. The number of participating tenants is not static - it will vary - therefore the opportunity to explore other catering opportunities is available to you. Any hired catering events will be held outside of the kitchen site.
You must possess the appropriate skill & ability and applicable Food Service Certifications to be considered for this opportunity. Safe Food Handling Certification must be provided.
We are seeking an individual with experience with volume cooking, ordering supplies/food stocks, budgeting & strong business sense. An understanding of service expectations for a target group of 55+ within a tenant population, be considerate & compassionate and must possess excellent customer service skills.
