Educational Assistant Full Time (30 hrs/week) Temp

Dates: September 4, 2018 to June 26, 2019
Desired Qualifications:
Education Assistant certification or early childhood training
Successful experiences working with children
Certification in Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
Certification or training in Control Theory
Understanding of the Zones of Regulation
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a school team are critical
Significant knowledge of community and children's developmental needs
Willingness to attend to a broad range of issues, including student personal care
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
Ability to work with individuals (parents, teachers, administrators, specialists) and agencies to most effectively support special needs students
Willingness to work one-on-one with students in both the classroom and isolated settings
Working closely with counselor, classroom teacher and student services teacher
Ability to work with students with high behavior needs
