South East Construction LP is currently recruiting for a Waste and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. This position will be a 15/13 rotation but could change with project needs.
To qualify, the Direct Responsible Charge Operator of the facility will hold, at a minimum, certification as a Class III Wastewater Operator, licensed to practice within the Province of Saskatchewan.
General responsibilities include:
To undertake operations at the facility in a manner which is protective of human life, the environment and property;
To operate the facility in a manner which fully complies with all pertinent Saskatchewan Ministry of the Environment Acts and Regulations, which provides any required information and compliance sampling results to Inspectors designated under the Act in a timely manner;
To operate and maintain the facilities in accordance to the recommendations and procedures outlined by the OEM equipment vendors;
To operate the facilities in accordance with any Federal Regulations, Requirements, Acts or Legislation;
To operate the facility in an efficient manner, which reduces overall capital and Operational lifecycle costs; and
Specifically, this responsibility shall include (maintenance shall not be limited to):
o ensuring the completion of all required activities, Quality Assurance and compliance sampling, operational and compliance reporting, consumable monitoring and order placement, and any other associated tasks which may be required from time to time.
Special Requirements:
Must hold a valid class 5 drivers license;
Must hold a Class III Wastewater Operator, licensed to practice with the Province of Saskatchewan; and,
This position requires the incumbent to undergo a Drug and Alcohol Test as well as a Fit Test.

- Patrol plant to check pumps, motors, filters, chlorinators and other plant equipment
- Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment to regulate the treatment and distribution of water
- Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment to regulate the flow of sewage and to treat and dispose of sewage and wastes
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
- Monitor and read recording instruments to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure plant systems and equipment are operating within prescribed limits
