1 - Term 15 Months Full Time, Community Health Nurse
For the community of La Ronge

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Department is currently seeking a Term 15 months Full Time, Community Health Nurse to work in La Ronge. The ideal candidate will be required to provide Community Health Nursing services to the communities of La Ronge, Sucker River, Hall Lake and Grandmotherss Bay.  

Duties:
    Utilize Assessment, educating, and nursing skills to carry out Public Health Nursing programming in the publicly funded Saskatchewan Immunization Program, Pre and Postnatal care, Communicable Disease Control and Tuberculosis programming.
    Provide direct care by assessing client health needs, planning care, implementing interventions and evaluating outcomes;
    Promote healthy lifestyles, disease prevention and health promotion;
    Assess needs of Band Members and make necessary referrals;
    Act as a client advocate and a liaison between LLRIBHS and other agencies;
    Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
    In good standing and registered with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA);
    Previous Public Health &/or Acute Care experience is an asset;
    Strong leadership and communication skills, and effective public relations skills;
    Ability to work effectively as a team member and able to travel;
    The ability to speak and/or understand Cree is a definite asset;
    Must have a Class 5 Drivers license;
