Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing Practice and Education, the Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organization's missions, goals, values, and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, clinical training and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will function as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care in the SHR, including direction and regular communication from the clinical area manager(s). This position supports the RUH PACU and JPCH PACU units.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support for Care Givers (BLS-HCP)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Current CPR Certification
Canadian Nurses Association certification in the relevant nursing discipline is preferred
Experience
Minimum 5 years recent full-time equivalent experience in post-anesthesia care, critical care or emergency nursing
Required to have expertise in cardiac monitoring interpretation, managing intubated and ventilated patients and administering vasoactive medications and must be able to apply this
