Facility: WEYBURN GENERAL HOSPITAL
Job Description: The Registered Dietitian is responsible for the provision of nutrition assessments, counselling, consultations, teaching, and educational services to community members and employees in the Sun Country Health Region. The Registered Dietitian is also responsible for assessing the needs of the community and coordinating, planning, implementing, and evaluating nutrition based programs in the community related to health promotions, disease prevention, and disease management.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nutrition
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Accredited Dietetic Internship
Bachelor Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
Registered or eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association
Experience
Experience in the field of community dietetics is an asset. Knowledge and application of health promotion models and strategies. Knowledge and application of community development, program planning, and program evaluation. Skill in conducting nutrition assessments and providing nutrition diagnoses Skill in developing nutrition interventions and action plans, and ability to monitor and evaluate client progress.

Ability to work independently and as a team member
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to conduct client assessments and engage in effective treatment planning
Ability to apply the principles of community development
Computer skills including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets, email and internet
