La Loche, SK
La Loche is a thriving Dene community with a population of over 2500 people. The community has all the usual businesses, stores, churches and government agencies including a hospital and daycare facilities. Views of the lake add to the charm of the town. The environment surrounding La Loche offers a variety of recreational activities and has an indoor hockey arena. An airport offers charter flights to communities further south and to the north.
Dene High School requires a full-time Social Worker for students in Grades 7-12. La Loche is a progressive community located in northwestern Saskatchewan, accessible by paved road with many amenities
Position to start August 27, 2018. Northern Lights School Division #113 offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
The successful candidates must possess the following:
Bachelor of Social Work Degree (applicants with extensive counselling experience may be considered)
eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers
counseling background
experience working with children and youth
a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
cross-cultural experience
