The Tenant Support Manager will be responsible to:
- liaison with various housing support agencies and social support agencies in the city in order to facilitate long-term housing for their clients. This includes but is not limited to mental health services, addiction services, probation, and numerous inner-city social agencies.
- offer supportive services to all of our tenants (Harbour House and The Gerri Carroll Hope Centre) by helping them connect to various services in the City of Regina, or our own services such as our meal program, clothing program, or addiction services. They will also coordinate and follow-up with pre-existing support services to offer additional support where needed and required.
- will be responsible for overseeing the day to day functions of Harbour House and the additional suites in the Gerri Carroll Hope Centre. This includes but is not limited to;
Posting new ads and contacting various community social housing agencies whenever a suite comes available
Showing the suite to prospective tenants
Following the application process for all prospective tenants
Putting new tenants into their suites
Following up with all tenants to make sure they are following the rules
Addressing any complaints or issues that come up that are tenant related
Following the Tenancy Act regarding stipulations around eviction of tenants
- conduct regularly scheduled suite inspections to serve as compliance to the Fire Code as well as to provide an opportunity to connect with each of the tenants, to see how they are doing, and to evaluate if and what additional support they may need from us.
- will help capture a variety of ministry data, statistics and information from the tenants, through data compilation, story gathering, and reporting.
This is a live-in position. A one-bedroom apartment will be provided to the successful candidate as part of the compensation package and will be a taxable benefit.
