Psychologists collaborate with the childs support team members to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. This position is responsible for supporting students, parents, school personnel and other agencies by providing consultation, diagnostic assessments, intervention, inter-professional collaboration, and crisis support for students. Following consultation or diagnosis, the psychologist will apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behaviour, to help students succeed academically, socially, behaviourally, and emotionally.
Qualifications: Masters Degree in Psychology from a recognized institution
Registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Certified in school psychology competencies from the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Minimum 2 years experience
Experience working in the education sector is an asset
Working Conditions: As per Conditions of Employment (non-union)
8 hour work days, 40 hours a week
To begin August 27, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019
Salary starts at $64,951.00
Regular travel to schools is required and occasionally to Regina and/or Saskatoon, using a system fleet vehicle where possible or with mileage paid for use of personal vehicle
Shared office space.
