Primary Purpose: The Coordinator, Student Life (Coordinator) is a live-in role and is responsible for all aspects of Student Life in their assigned area of Residence, including student staff management (coaching, support, and discipline), student support (crisis, conduct, and conflict management/resolution), programming delivery, and community oversight. Centered on principles of holistic student development and inclusivity, Coordinators work towards student success and community within Residence, while meeting the needs of an increasingly diverse student population. This work includes continuous conduct follow-up, advising on and coordination of support efforts, and continued assessment of risk for both students and the community.
Nature of Work: The Coordinator is required to live in an assigned apartment in their respective Residence area, be highly visible in the community, work flexible hours, and participate in an on-call (24-hours/day) rotation. This position has sessional peaks and an annual cycle. Peak periods (such as academic year start and end) require wide availability and have high work demands (e.g., evenings and weekends). Additionally, the Coordinator position often holds irregular work hours in order to facilitate availability to students during the regular cycle due to staff meetings, trainings, and other after-hours support.
