QUALIFICATIONS:
- A diploma and/or certificate in Housing Management and/or related field combined with 2-3 years related experience. Equivalencies will be considered.
- Familiarity with Federal/Provincial Government programs, policies and procedures affecting First Nations housing including knowledge of the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation
-Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and procedures Financial, human resources and program management;
- Possess knowledge and working experience of financial management and terms and conditions of funding arrangements;
- Possess knowledge and work experience in either engineering, architectural fields , construction and maintenance and DIANDS capital management process & policies;
- Strong planning, organizing and monitoring skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Strong team work and cooperation skills;
- Strong initiative and stress management skills;
- Strong conflict management skills;
- Possess knowledge and work experience with computers, i.e., office software applications (Excel and Word/MS Office);
- Possess knowledge of First Nation programs and several funding agencies;
- Possess good understanding of First Nation cultures, traditions, roles and responsibilities of Chief and Council and work well with Chief, Council, Band Staff and community;
- Possess Valid Class 5 Driver's License;
- Must have a clear current CPIC (Canadian Criminal Records Check), which identifies a vulnerable sectors check.
