Role:

We have a unique position in our Saskatoon office reporting to the Director of Corporate Services.  The Logistics Specialist will be accountable for establishing the strategic and tactical transportation and logistics practices for both international and domestic transportation requirements, including legal and customs formalities in all jurisdictions where the company operates.

Competencies/Skills:

-Time management and organization skills, balance multiple projects. Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work.
-High degree of interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal and written skills.
-Attentiveness to details and accuracy.
-Comfortable dealing with people at all levels internally and externally.
-Positive attitude, self-motivated.
-Strong management and organizational skills.
-Familiar with ERP systems.
-Excellent computer skills, advanced proficiency in Excel.

Education/Experience:

-Completion of post-secondary education and 5 years experience in a related field.
-International logistics experience.
-Knowledge of logistics within the building industry.
-Working knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations.
-Working knowledge of Canadian import and export regulations.
-Working knowledge of Transportation Regulations such as IATA, WHMIS, IMO, and IMDG.
