Position: Assistant Hotel Manager

Super 8 by Wyndham Regina is a 108 room, limited service, franchised hotel located in Regina, SK. Reporting to the General Manager, Assistant Manager is a strategic leader who applies operational knowledge, innovation and marketing strategies to achieve business goals. This position prepares a right individual to assume the role of General Manager in 2 to 5 years. This position is available to ambitious and enthusiastic individuals who want to build their career in the hospitality industry.
ASSISTANT MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the General Manager in his day to day operations.
Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
Provide training and assistance to staff and HOD's.
Acts as the hotels public relations director and promotes the property within the hotel industry, local community and trade associations.
Rate management, inventory control and competitiveness analysis.
Select or assist in the selection of hotel staff and completes all new hire paper works.
Conduct performance reviews and staff evaluation.
Review EOD reports, room service records, AR reports, Direct billings, collections, adjustments.. etc..
Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, policies, procedures and service standards.
Assist GM in key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
Perform regular property inspections.
Cover shifts during emergency.
Perform sudden audits on rooms and other operating areas.
Go extra miles and lead by example.
Assist the GM in in all aspects of business planning.
Must be available 24/7 in order to respond to any guest or employee emergencies.
All Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management.
