The Nutritionist will be expected to assist in the preparation, delivery and wrap-up of five summer music camps to be held in Regina, Saskatoon, North Battleford, Prince Albert and Yorkton in July and August. Home base for the Nutritionist will be Regina.
Under the direction of the Camp Manager, and within budget, the Nutritionist will be responsible to finalize a nutritional camp menu that includes lunch and two-three snacks per day for 60 youth ages 9-13 and 10-15 camp staff. The Nutritionist will be required to purchase, assemble and work with youth preparing and serving food. They will also provide nutritional counseling and guidance.
The Nutritionist will be required to travel to Saskatoon, North Battleford, Prince Albert and Yorkton for those camps. Shared accommodations and a meal allowance will be provided for travel and camp days outside of Regina.
The successful candidates will be mature, responsible, well-organized, detail-oriented, and hard-working and have experience working with children and youth. They will be able to read, write and verbally communicate effectively in English. They must provide a recent criminal record check and have reliable transportation. Food safety and first aid certificates would be an asset as would certificates and/or experience relating to leadership and diversity.
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30 at the start of the employment. They must have been a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year. Candidates must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant Saskatchewan legislation and regulations.
