Evraz Place is seeking to fill a full-time permanent position of Manager, Catering which is responsible to ensure the smooth execution of all functions requiring meeting space, food and beverage services through proper planning and delivery. This position is a member of REALs management team and works collaboratively with senior management, management, supervisors and leads to ensure effective delivery of conference and catering activities. Directs and manages a team of Assistant Catering Managers, Catering Leads, Catering Servers and Porters in ensuring the members and guests expectations are met and exceeded. Maintains the highest standards of food and beverage service, and is creative in room set-ups, presentations and delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in business, hospitality management or a related field, or a combination of relevant education, training and experience. As well as 3-5 years conference and catering experience in progressively responsible positions; a minimum of 3 years of personnel management, preferably in a club/golf/hospitality/service industry required; demonstrated experience in successfully building, coaching, and motivating high performing teams while holding employees accountable; experience in resolving customer issues/complaints as well as overall excellent customer service required; experience in managing budgets and scheduling of staff; experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.
