Westvac Industrial Ltd is currently hiring a permanent full-time Service Technician for our Saskatoon, SK location. We are an authorized dealer for Stertil-Koni Lifts and all John Bean Automotive Servicing Equipment. Job Description
The Service Technician is a Mobile Technician and is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and servicing our customer's Automotive Lifting and Servicing Equipment. This entails accuracy with paperwork, the ability to sort and maintain an accurate stock level on a service vehicle and have the ability to troubleshoot problems in the field. There may also be opportunities to service other equipment sold/serviced by Westvac such as Hydro-Vacs, Skid Steers, Garbage Trucks, etc.
Technicians are required to work out of town, sometimes with short notice, as we cover the entire province from our Saskatoon Branch and support our Stertil Koni line in Manitoba as well. A company service vehicle (for work purposes only) will be provided along with a laptop and cell phone.
Requirements
Computer skills an asset
MUST possess own tools (job specific tools to be provide by Westvac)
Read, write and speak fluent English
Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
Ability to read and decipher electrical wiring diagrams
Knowledge of electrical systems
Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
Mechanical aptitude
Millwright experience would be an asset
