We are seeking a confident, forward-thinking professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join our Risk-Based Supervision team.
The Job:
Reporting to the Manager, Risk-Based Supervision, this position joins a team of experts responsible for monitoring and assessing credit unions governance and control environments. You will support the application of the supervisory framework which proactively identifies, assesses and manages/mitigates risk to depositor funds and the guarantee fund. You will be responsible for the assessment of regulatory approval requests, and effective relationship management with credit union boards of directors and senior management. You will support the maintenance of components of the risk-based supervisory framework. Flexible hours and some travel are required as this business unit works with Saskatchewan credit unions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a degree in administration/commerce and three years of related experience. A professional finance/accounting designation would be considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. The ability to interpret and apply policy, legislation and regulation are key requirements for this position. Experience in the financial services industry, with exposure to governance, and risk management would be an asset. Proven facilitation experience is required. Core competencies focus on communication, impact and influence, conflict resolution, problem solving and decision making.
