Assignment and Term: This position is a permanent (10 month) part-time position of 5 hours per alternating school days at Esterhazy High School.  The position commences August 28, 2018.

Qualifications:  Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. The candidate will have acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets.     As a condition of employment, all permanent employees are required to have completed a diploma or certificate in a related post-secondary program.  If a permanent employee has not completed the appropriate training, he or she will be required to provide proof of enrollment in an approved post-secondary program within six (6) months of their permanent status.

Duties:  include working closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals; provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care; assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom; maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school and, perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant

Salary and Benefits:  The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $16.49 - $21.31 plus applicable vacation pay.  Benefits include participation in the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
