Assignment and Term: This position is a temporary part-time position of 5.5 hours per school days at Yorkton Regional High School. The position commences on August 28, 2018 and will expire on February 25, 2019 or upon return of the regular employee.
The duties of an Educational Assistant are to: work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals; provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care; assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom; maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school; and perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant
The successful candidate will have at minimum a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets.
Salary and Benefits: The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $16.49 - $21.31 plus applicable vacation pay. Benefits include participation in the Saskatchewan School Board Association (SSBA) Employee Benefits Plan if eligible, the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP) if enrollment is chosen and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
