The Operations Manager role will report directly to the Owner/Operator and be responsible for scheduling, inventory, staff supervision, administrative duties as well as receptionist duties and general housekeeping. To be successful in this position, you should be enthusiastic about helping to grow the BOURBON Barbershop brand, growing within this role at the barbershop as well as familiar with general salon operations.
Ensuring day to day operations are completed effectively and efficientlyCompleting Barber and Reception schedules, based on demand and availabilityUpdating and maintaining product inventory; ordering supplies and product as neededSupervising and delegating tasks to barbers and other reception staffHelp to develop, implement, and enforce policies and proceduresMaintain a safe, injury/accident free work environmentUpdating and distributing staff development documentsCreating, editing, and completing miscellaneous documents as assignedPromote the BOURBON brand on social media platformsOffer a high quality customer service experienceOpening duties (including counting cash float, operating salon software, etc.)Booking appointments, communicating with external agencies and our vendors,General housekeeping duties (Keeping our shop tidy and our barbers with a guest in their seat)Creatively crafting 2-4 social media posts per day, using our software and devicesOther duties as required in the day to day operation of our barbershop
Work experience in a Management/Administrative Role (in or out of the beauty industry) will be ESSENTIAL to this role. While all are welcome to apply for this position, preference will be given to those that have the combination of customer service, office administrator, and management experience. The position will require some evening and weekend shifts as needed; flexibly is a must! Salary will be determined based on experience; we also offer a 10% product commission and tips!
