Summary
The Junior Audit Tech works with the audit team alongside the Senior Audit Tech to ensure that all our clients corporate accounting policies and procedures are adhered to. The Junior Audit Tech must have knowledge of and stay current with applicable laws and regulations. The Junior Audit Tech reports all reliable accounting data directly to the Senior Audit Tech and the Audit Supervisor/Partner.

Job Duties
Assist the Senior Audit Tech
Report any and all inconsistencies in corporate strategy in order to improve and adjust company policy accordingly
Research and determine if the system of checks and balances is adequate
Monitor activity and maintenance in the clients member accounts
Monitor activity and file maintenance in accounting records and data processing systems
Research, report, prepare and assist with external audits being conducted
Prepare reports of all work and submit to the Senior Audit Tech for review, follow-up and recommendations for action
Discuss findings with Senior Audit Techs of areas evaluated
Review cash control procedures and monitors safeguarding of assets
Review all relevant documents necessary to determine if an audit trail exists for all records and systems

Requirements
Diploma or degree in accounting required
CPA Designation preferred
A general understanding of all auditing ethics codes and laws required
Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
Knowledge of accounting practices/procedures
Efficient working knowledge of MS word, Excel, Profile, Caseware and Quickbooks
Ability to adapt to and learn fast new software
Attention to detail in all areas of work
Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
