Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing
Job Description: Under the supervision of the program manager of the children's team, this position is responsible for case management of children, aged 6 through 12 years of age. The children and their families have multiple and complex issues which might include mental health needs and developmental and behavioural issues. The incumbent provides support to the families of these children, direction in regard to behavioural management and the development and coordination of service plans. Collaboration with many other professionals and agencies is required. The incumbent will be expected to work in partnership with education and will provide services within the context of the school as well as the home and community based locations.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
Case management training and recent experience working with families of children aged 6 to 12 years with mental health problems. Recent experience working in a multidisciplinary mental health setting for children.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced organizational skills
Advanced leadership skills
Knowledge, skills and experience in behavioural management with children
Other Information

Field Hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.<
