Description

This position is responsible for all aspects of the Health program & service delivery & the management of teams.  He/She is responsible for program planning, implementation, administration & staff.  He/she is a proven leader with a successful track record in health delivery, experience in program management at the First Nation health level and ability to collaborate strategically with other departments & stakeholders to ensure community members receive the highest quality of care & service delivery.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the terms & conditions of the Health Agreement with Health Canada
Responsible for management & administration of the following: Aboriginal Diabetes Initiatives, Brighter Futures/Injury Prevention, Building Health Communities-Solvent Abuse, Mental Health, Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program, Communicable Disease Control/Immunization, NIHB Community Dental Health, Oral Health Strategy, Community Health Services, Environmental Health, FASD, HIV AIDS, & other programs & services  
In collaboration with staff, provide direction & coordination for health education & facilitation to community members in respective areas;
Work cooperatively with regional, provincial agencies to ensure improvements are made to the Health Care system in TCFN
Other duties.

Qualifications
Post-secondary Degree in Administration, Public Health or related area
First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
Valid Driver's Licence
Clear Criminal Records Check (CPIC)
Strong computer literacy skills
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Able to think critically & possess strong facilitation & presentation skills, time management
Commitment to health promotion & prevention & community development with a focus on holistic health
Previous work experience in a First Nation Community
Ability to speak &/or understand the Cree language & the Cree culture
Training &/or Certification in any Complimentary Therapies
