Description

The Community Ministries Program Supervisor will provide leadership and support for The Salvation Army Saskatoon Temples Community Ministries programs and staff in accordance with The Salvation Armys mission, values, and standards.
Provides direction and support to all program staff ensuring that they work together to achieve the purposes of the organization and enhance the ministry of The Salvation Army and its programs
Provide leadership and support for programs and events such as: Christmas hampers, kettles, toy run, Easter Camp, community kitchen, educational programs, volunteers, budget management, Food on the Move, back pack program, Weekend Back pack feeding program, and income tax support
Supervise case supports and provide case management as needed
Provides immediate stabilization, crisis management support
Develop and facilitate community based programming which aligns with The Salvation Armys mission and the Vision of Community Ministries in Saskatoon.  
Participate in strategic planning to ensure programming and goals reflects clients needs
Prepares necessary correspondence, reports, statistics, & program evaluations
Participate in the review and updating of agency policy and procedures and ensures personal compliance with The Salvation Army policy and procedures
Meet with/communicate regularly with relevant agencies for case conferences and solving problems relating to clients needs/service gaps
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work/ Social Sciences or equivalent
2-5 years of experience in the social services field. Working with individuals and families experiencing complex issues including: mental illness, addiction, homelessness, food security, cognitive impairment, and or criminality
1-3 years supervisory experience managing people /resources
The successful applicant will hold/have:
First Aid Certification
Class 4 drivers licence
Saskatchewan Food Safe
Non-violent Crisis Intervention
Suicide Intervention Certification
