Description

JOB OVERVIEW
Our Customer Care Representatives will grow relationships between the Canadian Cancer Society and people across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba who are volunteers, event participants, survivors and those interested in hosting and Independent Fundraisers on our behalf.

This position does not involve solicitation of donations.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:
Increase participation in Society events and activities and improve retention rates from year to year.

Carry on positive, natural, ongoing conversations between the Society and its supporters about the Societys mission, services and impact.

Coach participants in advance of events to make the events as meaningful and successful as possible.

Answer questions about the organization, our services and events and support users of the Societys websites.

Ensure high quality, responsive, customer care through data management and expert use of technology.



WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Ability to engage in conversation with diverse groups of people from all age groups and walks of life.
2 years customer service experience
Comfortable and outgoing while interacting with the public at trade fair booths.
Ability to sympathize and relate to donors, clients and volunteers.
Ability to understand the importance of confidentiality.
Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience using a database would be considered an asset.
High School Diploma
Bachelors Degree in Business or Communications an asset.
Must be able to work regular late afternoon and evening hours during weekdays.
This position is part of a paperless work flow.
Overtime may be required during peak times as needed and approved.
A clean criminal record check will be required upon offer.
