Description

RAM Industries has an immediate opening for a PURCHASING COORDINATOR.

For over 40 years, RAM Industries has specialized in the design and production of hydraulic cylinders for equipment manufacturers across North America. See our website at www.ramindustries.com.

Based in Yorkton Sask, the Purchasing Coordinator is an integral member of our production Support team. The primary responsibility of this position is the timely purchase of raw materials, parts and supplies for production based on manufacturing schedules, cost and quality objectives, as well as vendor negotiations. The Purchasing Coordinator will use ERP and MRP systems to carefully track, monitor and verify that all production needs and deadlines are met. This role also includes domestic and international sourcing to set up new and secondary vendors.

The successful candidate must be thoroughly attentive to details and must have above average written and verbal communication skills.

The Purchasing Coordinator needs to be both highly responsive and proactive in addressing any issues in a timely and creative manner so that production is never adversely affected. This is a key requirement of the position and past work experience anticipating and resolving purchasing or inventory exceptions is mandatory.

Training on in-house computer programs/systems will be provided to the successful candidate; however, computer skills (i.e. keyboarding, Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook) are required. Exposure to ERP, MRP or mfg/database software is an asset.

Apply with a resume highlighting your skills and relevant past experience for this role, along with your availability and ability to relocate (if applicable).
