Con-Tech General Contractors Ltd. is looking for a Shop Mechanic Supervisor to manage the day to day workflow and the mechanics. We need an experienced shop leader who has at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the management of company fleet equipment and trucks and trailers. It requires the supervision of a team of mechanics who are responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of the fleet.
Job Duties and Essential Functions:
Planning and scheduling the repair work for the work group to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, reducing lost productivity within the shop.
Directs all maintenance personnel to reduce costs and maintain a reliable fleet.
Ensure exceptional safety of equipment & tools as well as cleanliness of the shop.
Conduct quality control inspections, track issues and issue resolution to ensure all tasks are properly completed and are in accordance with the companys safety and compliance procedures.
Communicating specific work assignments and responsibilities to associates.
Ensuring inventory is secured, stored and only accessible to the associates in accordance to the company guidelines.
Oversees vehicle appearance, cleanliness of equipment and shop.
Maintains vehicle records, services and repairs.
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintain supplies, performing preventative maintenance and calling for repairs.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience.
Must be willing to be on call.
Must be a self-starter, willing to take the initiative and able and willing to work without direct supervision.
Computer and data entry skills required: Microsoft Office
Must have a valid drivers license to assist in moving vehicles, 1A is preferred, but not required.
