Are you someone who is organized with exceptional communication skills and understand legal terminology? Our client is well known, extremely reputable and is searching for a Legal Assistant in Regina, who is responsible for a diverse range of legislative challenges, contract negotiations and other legal documents.
This individual must be able to work independently, with limited or no supervision at times. The assistants daily responsibilities would include filing, handling mail and scheduling appointments. Other duties include tracking motions, subpoenas, interviews and legal proceedings, along with transcribing meeting agendas and preparing minutes from voice recordings or handwritten notes.
The ideal candidate must have very strong word processing skills. This role works internally with lawyers and other legal staff on a daily basis. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience in Corporate and Real Estate law would be an ideal asset.
Requirements:
A minimum of two years of experience as a legal secretary
Proficient in Microsoft Word is a must
Accurately typing more than 60+ WPM
Legal Secretary Diploma is preferred
Good understanding for legal terminology
