Qualifications:
Customer service work experience in the hospitality industry, or in retail sales required. Positive, friendly, confident attitude required. Have good judgment in order to deal with guest issues and emergency or security situations. Be able to work under pressure, show patience and empathize with others. Computer literate and type 30 words per minute. Work independently and as part of a team. Have completion of secondary school or equivalent. Related post-secondary education is an asset. Good organizational skills. Possess the ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Approximate Number of Hours per week: 0-40 hours
Duties and Responsibilities:
*Greet everyone who enters the lobby with a smile and a positive and professional manner.
*Respond to phone inquiries and emails in a friendly and professional way.
*Answer inquires regarding hotel services and provide information regarding services available in the community by email, phone and in person.
*Responds quickly to guest requests and follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
*Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
*Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment.
*Hotel Security
*Handle cash, credit cards, and POS system.
*Complete duty checklist daily.
*Reservations: Familiarity with accommodations, rates, packages, brand promotions.
*Carry out various tasks required in an efficient and competent manner.
*Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
*Be willing to work night audit
