SUMMARY: Felesky Flynn LLP is seeking a 5+ year Corporate paralegal or legal assistant for our Saskatoon office. The ideal candidate for this role would be a motivated self-starter who thrives on working independently, and is willing to take on a variety of tasks. The successful candidate will provide assistance with a variety of administrative and legal tasks involving corporate reorganizations, tax, wills and estates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a variety of administrative and legal assistance including but not limited to:
Preparing documents for amendments, withdrawals, mergers and dissolutions of corporations, partnerships and/or limited liability companies
Maintaining corporate minute books
Preparing and maintaining annual returns
Obtaining and reviewing name reservations
Completing searches and registrations
Electronic and hard copy filing with Corporate Registry
Opening and closing files
Opening new matters
Preparing engagement letters
Obtaining client identification and verification
Editing (or drafting of) documents
Coordinating meetings and agendas
Preparing CRA Forms
Providing coverage for other assistants as necessary
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Legal Assistant certificate or diploma
5+ years of corporate paralegal experience
Client-focused
Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines, while ensuring accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent Microsoft Word skills
Experience with drafting and formatting letters and other documents
Ability to multi-task and adapt to evolving work processes
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrates a collaborative and supportive team environment
