This position is primarily responsible for supervising the repair and refurbishing and delivery of reciprocating rod pumps. The Foreman is responsible for guiding rod pump technicians in fulfilling the procedures and operations to deliver quality service to customers in the oilfield industry, while maintaining Weatherfords quality and safety standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise Rod Pump technicians, including assigning daily tasks and monitoring work
Oversee daily operations on shop floor, dispatching deliveries, and prioritizing activity
Document rod pump work in tracking software, and report data for invoicing purposes
Train and Mentor rod pump technicians
Troubleshoot rod pump issues and decide necessary repairs
Responsible for Quality Control of rod pumps completed in shop
Oversee repair and refurbishing of rod pumps
Drive to field locations to deliver rod pumps to customers
Oversee compliance with all Weatherford safety regulations and company policies
Work overtime hours as required
Safely operate various equipment associated with position Grinder, pipe threader, chop saw
Operate Skid steer and forklift in shop and yard area
Communicate with customers in person, by e-mail, and by telephone
Guide and support workplace QHSSE activities and programs
Oversee shop cleanliness and inventory storage/controls
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications -
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in repairing rod pumps
Experience leading a work team an asset
Valid class 5 operators license in good standing
Capability of working overtime as workload requires
Quality first attitude
Demonstrated and effective problem solver
Ability to follow set work instructions both from binder and computer
Oilfield Experience is an asset
Safety minded individual, willingness and commitment to receiving both required and ongoing mandatory safety training as a condition of employment
