Job Description: The Admitting Reception Clerk is responsible for reception, admissions and directing patients/family to the proper services. This position reports to the Provincial Leader of Supportive Care with daily work duties supervised by the Supervisor of Admitting Reception or the Site Manager Supportive Care.
Required Qualifications
Grade 12
Experience
One (1) year customer service experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to effectively communicate factual information both orally and in writing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in various stages of completion according to priorities
Ability to operate a computerized data entry system
Ability to operate all types of office equipment.
Ability to type proficiently.
Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff.
Some Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a limited number of alternatives.
