Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of audit projects simultaneously. Key responsibilities will include planning and conducting audit assignments; documenting business process risks and controls; developing and conducting audit testing procedures; reporting and presenting audit results; providing recommendations and opportunities for improvements; and following up on management plans for corrective action. This position will also participate in the identification and evaluation of key risks during the risk assessment process; provide key input into the development of the risk-based audit plans; conduct special audit projects or reviews as requested by the Boards; and work in coordination with other internal and external auditors.

Travel within the province is required
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university or college; a CPA designation and/or an auditing designation (CIA, CRMA or CISA); and a minimum of 4 years of audit experience. Audit experience in the public sector and familiarity with audit and/or data analysis software would be considered an asset.
